In World of Warcraft, an event usually refers to a couple of things:
- An in-game change in environment, NPCs, quests and items usually tied together by a holiday, special occasion or theme. See the Events category for a more complete description.
- A triggering message for some API function. See Events (API) for more details.
In-game Event Changes
- Types of environment changes:
- New buildings, but can mean caravans, tents, wagons or other such things.
- New decorations on buildings, but can mean re-design of buildings.
- New fixed devices.
- Types of NPC changes:
- New mobs, quest givers, or vendors.
- New non-interactive NPCs.
- Types of item changes:
- New drink and food.
- New quest items.
- New recipes.
