Strike the ground fiercely to expose a faeline for 30 sec, dealing (40% of Attack power) Nature damage to up to 5 enemies, and restores (91% of Spell power) health to up to 5 allies within 30 yds caught in the faeline. Up to 5 allies caught in the faeline are healed with an Essence Font bolt. Up to 5 enemies caught in the faeline suffer an additional (65% of Attack power) damage.
Your abilities have a 6% chance of resetting the cooldown of Faeline Stomp while fighting on a faeline.
It is important to separate the multiple effects of this ability. In its most complex form, this ability may include an initial blast, buffs and debuffs, and aura applied by remaining in the ground area.
Windwalkers' [Way of the Fae] talent affects the initial damage of the ability.
Some buffs or debuffs are only applied once at the time when the Faeline is placed. For example, mistweavers only apply [Essence Font] to targets hit by the initial blast. Allies who later move onto the faeline will not gain the Essence Font effect. Likewise, windwalkers only apply Fae Exposure from [Faeline Harmony] one time per Faeline Stomp.
Similar to the Essence Font effect, mistweavers with the [Ancient Teachings] talent may use this ability as an option to gain the appropriate buff for 15 seconds, and this buff makes the mistweaver instantly heal their allies when they deal single target melee damage. Like the other buffs, Ancient Teachings is only applied to the mistweaver once per cast of Faeline Stomp.
Conversely, [Awakened Faeline] and [Ancient Concordance] provide their cleave and healing conversion effects to the Mistweaver as long as they are fighting in the faeline. Ancient Concordance provides a grace period buff that allows this mistweaver to keep these benefits for a short time, even after leaving the faeline area.
Tips
This ability has an unusual interaction with [Chi Burst] when that ability hits multiple targets. Each hit has a chance to proc the "Fighting on a faeline" aura. This gives a high overall chance of activating the cooldown reset. This can make it easier to reapply and maintain the appropriate buffs or debuffs; or reposition the faeline for Ancient Concordance.
