Faldir was a human of Strom and one of the last members of Thoradin's line to dwell in the empire of Arathor, around 1,200 BDP. With the gradual fracturing of Arathor into independent kingdoms and the departure of Strom's noble families from the capital, Faldir led the last living descendants of Thoradin across the sea to the southern parts of the Eastern Kingdoms, where they had heard rumors of a lush, unplumbed land where they could make a new beginning. The rumors proved true, and in this new land, Thoradin's descendants founded the kingdom of Stormwind.[1]
Faldir's Cove near Stromgarde is named after him, apparently marking the spot where he and his followers began their voyage across the sea.
