- This article is about lore of the spell. For the Warcraft III ability of the same name, see Far Seer (Warcraft III)#Far Sight. For the similarly named Cleric spell from Warcraft: Orcs and Humans, see far seeing.
Farseeing is a divination spell that grants sight of distant objects and far-off locations. Originally used by the clerics of the Brotherhood of Northshire to keep a clear perspective and see things in an all encompassing fashion,[1] the spell was eventually transcribed to books, one of which ended up in Karazhan's library. Khadgar modified this spell in order to make his own spell that would give him a vision of the past.[2]
In other cultures, shaman far seers have the uncanny ability to perceive distant places and events through a form of spirit sight. This ability allows them to anticipate enemy movements and maintain the element of surprise for the horde's fighting forces.[3]
