Father Gustav is a powerful priest and an important member of the Argent Crusade. He is instrumental in the purging of Scourgeholme and the Breach and the subsequent establishment of Justice Keep at Crusaders' Pinnacle.
Father Gustav is first seen in the Argent Vanguard, but after the player completes 
[25-30] The Last Line Of Defense he will move to the Valley of Echoes in a hut near the Breach.
He was present during Death Rising.
