Fire Elemental is a level 34 Elemental shaman ability.

Improvements

The Rank 2 upgrade ability is erroneously named "Fire Elemental Totem" despite being introduced in Shadowlands (two expansions after the previous ability was removed).

Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Mana cost added. Fire Elemental no longer causes Flame Shock to generate maelstrom. Instead, Flame Shock now deals damage 25% faster while the Fire Elemental is active. Additionally, a second rank has been added.
Patch 8.0.1 (2018-07-17): Model updated. Duration reduced to 30 seconds (down from 1 minute) and cooldown reduced to 2.5 minutes (down from 5 minutes). Additionally, [Flame Shock]'s periodic ticks generate 3 Maelstrom while the Fire Elemental is active.
Patch 7.1.0 (2016-10-25): Now has a totem timer.
Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Added. Replaced [Fire Elemental Totem].
