- Flight Master's Whistle

- Use: Request a pickup to the nearest flight master.
Only works in areas in which you have unlocked the use of the flight whistle. (5 Min Cooldown)
Flight Master's Whistle is a quest reward from 
[45] Uniting the Isles and [45] Uniting the Isles. It summons the Flight Master's Mount.
Notes[]
- If the item is deleted, a new one can be acquired by asking Archmage Khadgar in Dalaran.
- When it says 'the nearest flight master', it means the closest one within the zone you are in. Even if there's one closer over in the next zone, the one in the zone will be chosen.
- The
[Krokul Flute] upgrades the whistle to work with Lightforged beacons on Argus.
- This upgrade is account-wide.
- If the Vindicaar is closer than any Lightforged beacon, you will be taken directly to the Navigation Console instead.
Tier 2 of the hunter Order Advancement offers access to the Eagle Flight Network. If chosen, these network points will become legitimate options for the whistle alongside flight points.
- Unlocking world quests in Kul Tiras and Zandalar automatically upgrades the whistle to work in those zones.
- Completing the flight master quest in a Warfront automatically upgrades the whistle to work in that Warfront.
- The
[G.E.A.R. Tracking Beacon] is an alternate version of the Flight Master's Whistle rewarded from the gnome heritage quest [50-70] G.E.A.R. Up.
- There are no plans to bring the functionality to Shadowlands due to how the expansion content was designed.[1]
Patch changes[]
- Hotfix (2018-08-16): When unlocking World Quests in Zandalar and Kul'Tiras, Halford Wyrmbane or Nathanos Blightcaller will now give you a fresh Flight Master's Whistle if you left yours in the bank.
- Patch 7.3.0 (2017-08-29): You cannot use this item while mounted. Previously it would dismount you and call for your "taxi". Instead you now get an error message.
- Hotfix (2016-10-28): Using the Flight Master's Whistle should no longer close your map or prevent you from chatting.
- This undoes the undocumented 7.1 change.
- This undoes the undocumented 7.1 change.
- Patch 7.1.0 (2016-10-25): Undocumented: Now plays a brief cut-scene when used.
- Hotfix (2016-09-16): Hunters who have researched the Eagle Ally perk and have since changed to no longer have that perk will no longer be teleported to unusable flight points when using the Flight Master's Whistle.
