Your damaging abilities have a chance to call forth a demon from the Theater of Pain for 25 sec. Throw Glaive deals lethal damage to the demon, which explodes on death, dealing (192.5% of Attack power) damage to nearby enemies and healing you for 25% of your maximum health. The explosion deals reduced damage beyond 5 targets.
[Throw Glaive] deals about half the demon's health in damage.
While Empowered Demon Soul is active, you glow a pale green. This is a good way to quickly tell whether you picked up the demon's soul after defeating it.
The demon's corpse will remain for 2 minutes, allowing ample time to use [Fleshcraft] on it.
Empowered Demon Soul benefits from the duration increase of [Demonic Bias].
In its initial form, Fodder to the Flame was seen as one of the weakest covenant abilities overall, due to the fact that the buff only lasted 5 seconds, the demon had a large amount of health, and the demon's attacks meant that this ability could actually kill the player rather than help them. Patch 9.0.5 attempted to remedy this by making the demon go down in one use of [Throw Glaive] and increasing the ability's duration.
Patch changes[]
Patch 9.0.5 (2021-03-09): Redesigned as a passive ability. Your damaging abilities have a chance to call forth a demon from the Theater of Pain for 25 seconds. [Throw Glaive] deals lethal damage to the demon, which explodes on death, dealing damage to nearby enemies and healing you for 30% of your maximum health. The explosion deals reduced damage beyond 5 targets.
Old: Commission a duel to the death against a Condemned Demon from the Theater of Pain. Vanquishing your foe releases its demon soul and creates a pool of demon blood that lasts for 30 sec. Fighting within the pool increases your attack speed by 20% and reduces the damage that enemies deal to you by 10%. Fleshcraft treats the Condemned Demon as a powerful enemy.
