Description

Well, that explains why Mauti seemed smaller... The real Mauti has run off with Grent Direhammer, but being the wise hunter that he is, he has fired flares off so you can track him. Find Direhammer before it's too late!

Northern Stranglethorn

Direhammer dropped white flares all along the path. Along the path, at around ^{[78.1, 66.7]} as players turn back to the south after heading east along Zul'Gurub's southern wall, another quest is discovered: Inspect that Cat.

Just past discovering Inspect that Cat, the trail stops not far from the mouth of a small cave. Grent is inside, being gnawed on by a baby cat. Complete this quest, then exit the cave and head out to kill Mauti to continue the chain.
