Forlorn Ridge is a mountain that was once located in southwestern Azshara. When the Bilgewater goblins settled the region, they moved the entire mountain north.[1][2]

World of Warcraft[]
Forlorn Ridge dominated the nearby landscape of western Azshara, and both the Alliance and the Horde built fortifications on the side of the mountain.
Cataclysm[]
After the Cataclysm, the recently settled Bilgewater goblins in Azshara moved the entire mountain at a nearby area to the north in order to mine the resources beneath it. They turned its former location into a quarry named Mountainfoot Strip Mine which caused the underground basilisks living there to attack the miners.[1][3]
The goblins would later build Jastor Gallywix's Pleasure Palace on its summit.
Notes[]
- In Cataclysm, even though the subzone should occupy the whole mountain, it only displays in the area in between the Gallywix Pleasure Palace and the Ruins of Eldarath.
- Forlorn Ridge is the former site of the scrapped battleground Azshara Crater.[4]

Due to its shape, the mountain could have been a long-dead volcano.
