Hi, I'm sorry for asking here, but I don't really know how the wiki works behind the scenes, I don't know if asking on the [[Instance limitations]] discussion page would actually get a response. I was trying to find current instance limits (# of instances per hour, whether it's per-account or per-character, etc.), and found Instance limitations. That page is really outdated. For example, it says you can only enter 5 per hour, when the limit was raised to 10 per hour all the way back in 2014. The Instance page has a Limits section that seems accurate, but it could probably be padded with more information like how WoW Classic has an additional per-day limit in addition to the per-hour limit (I'm not even sure what the details are anymore).
Should Instance limitations be a redirect to Instance#Limits, and should Instance#Limits be updated to include information specific to WoW Classic since it has separate limits from retail? (I don't really have an opinion on how this is handled, I just wanted to bring it to the attention of people who edit more seriously than me.)

- agreed on both fronts. if a page is that outdated, that suggests most people don’t even know it exists! so a merge is definitely warranted, i think. unfortunately i’m at work atm so i can’t do anything myself right now, but i may look into it later.
- also i’d say talk pages usually get more activity than forums, so in the future i recommend going that route ^^ —Eithris (talk) 15:30, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
- I somehow feel compelled to leave a link to the old page before the redirect was proposed and done, and for completeness the merge discussion that was done on the 21st!
- It looks like there was some salvageable info about boss locks that could be folded in, along with some general info about levels and group sizes! Speaking more broadly, sadly the info there in general is slightly out of date and splayed across old website infodumps like raid lockout and Instance Lock Extension and the group of pages as a whole could probably use some general tidying and merging some day. It also reminds me to update dungeon difficulty with the new SL
