Forums: Village pump → Guild and server pages

Guild and server pages these days seem to mainly be a repository of old templates and other random cruft lying around. The latest edits to them are largely template/link cleanup or player character articles which could be moved to the User namespace anyway.

I'm not sure how useful these namespaces are anymore. Any thoughts? --PcjWowpedia admin (TDrop me a line!C207,729 contributions and counting) 20:32, 25 July 2017 (UTC)

I'd be in favor of a vote to just remove all the guild pages. Server pages I'm more ambivalent about, but I agree that they probably aren't worth keeping around either. -- DarkTZeratul (talk) 20:46, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
IMO we should keep them. Doesn't hurt and it can bring back memories to some people. Xporc (talk) 21:57, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
I'm definitely in favor of removing the actual namespaces.--SWM2448 22:01, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
I'm not particularly keen on removing the pages, but they can probably be placed more efficiently. PeterWind (talk) 00:47, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
Maybe servers could be merged onto one/a couple pages like we did with Blizzard forum posters? Not sure how we could do anything like that for guilds, but it'd handle the maintenance issues for server pages. --PcjWowpedia admin (TDrop me a line!C207,729 contributions and counting) 00:58, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
We do already have a Realms list page; I'm not sure there's really an efficient way to add all the information from the server pages into that, though, since there's no real consistency between them. -- DarkTZeratul (talk) 01:05, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
It's just a matter of condensing it into common information that is easily maintained and/or doesn't get out of date so easily. Maybe an optional paragraph per realm to talk about notable stuff about that server. --PcjWowpedia admin (TDrop me a line!C207,729 contributions and counting) 01:33, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
