I wanted to know how we can update all the Blizzard posters with the new forums. Also, there has been a massive update in what Blizz posters are called, etc. Please advise.

Feel free to start updating at Blizzard forum posters. Maybe you can keep a list here in this forum post of individual people pages that need to be updated after that. --Gengar orange 22x22.png Fandyllic (talk · contribs) 12:15 AM PST 19 Nov 2010
I should also add - the current way that Wowpedia has Blue posters listed is their old ID number on the old forums. Now, the URL is different. Is there going to be an overhaul in the coding so that we just need to insert their new forum ID so it links to their posts in the new forums? As of right now, I've been renaming things, but until the aforementioned gets changed/reprogrammed/etc. I can't fully update everyone.--Eiorwryn (talk) 09:51, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
I'll look into that. It will probably be better just to make a new template. --Gengar orange 22x22.png Fandyllic (talk · contribs) 9:14 AM PST 19 Nov 2010
I've got {{bfp2}} working for now. It doesn't take an id, as thats not how the forum works anymore. Username IS case sensitive - ie datth vs Datth. Ressy (talk) 16:30, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
LOL I just made {{bnfp}} to do the same thing... oh well. --Gengar orange 22x22.png Fandyllic (talk · contribs) 9:38 AM PST 19 Nov 2010
Yours is better. Add in another tag for Blizz icons (because not all Blizz posters have their own icon), and we'll use yours instead. Ressy (talk) 16:42, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
Added some more coding to yours as apparently player & MVP links are Name@Server vs Name for Blizzard posters. Blizz should have stuck with poster id. Would have been easier IMO. Ressy (talk) 19:11, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
I tinkered around a bit, it's just showing the B.net forum page. Was it supposed to do that?--Eiorwryn (talk) 20:08, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
The first link is linking to the user's posts, the 2nd is a link to battle.net forums. That should probably be removed. Ressy (talk) 20:15, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
When all of the forum links are converted to Battle.net, the 2nd link will be removed. The 2nd link is to indicate that the 1st link is to battle.net. --Gengar orange 22x22.png Fandyllic (talk · contribs) 2:14 PM PST 19 Nov 2010
I realized that tooltips would work better than the BNet link thing, so I added tooltips to the {{bfp}} "Recent posts" link to warn that it points to an old read-only forum and added tooltips to the {{bnfp}} "Recent posts" link to indicate the new Battle.net forums. --Gengar orange 22x22.png Fandyllic (talk · contribs) 3:35 PM PST 19 Nov 2010

Awesome. Gonna overhaul everything now. :] --Eiorwryn (talk) 21:37, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

For previous Blizz personnel & prev MVPs, don't bother updating their lines to {{bnfp}}, keep them at {{bfp}}, but just remove the id. Someone should go back later, and edit {{bfp}} so it doesn't accept the ID#. Might as well keep it in some form so we can display prev MVPs & Blizz employees properly. Thank you. :] --Eiorwryn (talk) 22:19, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

Additional Question - Customer Service has been renamed to Customer Support. The article's title itself needs to be renamed. If anyone can teach me how/or just change it, please do.--Eiorwryn (talk) 23:45, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

"Customer Service Forum Representatives" has been moved to "Customer Support Forum Representatives". To rename/move a page, move your pointer over the gray down-pointing triangle () to the right of "View history" and select "Move". --Gengar orange 22x22.png Fandyllic (talk · contribs) 7:24 PM PST 19 Nov 2010
Fandyllic, how do you know the code for the down-arrow icon? We need ten more of you. :) D.D. Corkum (T / C) 00:54, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
Its just Unicode. I'm no Pcj. ;-) --Gengar orange 22x22.png Fandyllic (talk · contribs) 10:28 PM PST 20 Nov 2010
