For the past couple of days, WoWWiki has been forcing the Sapphire skin on me. This is occurring on both my home and work computers, using both Firefox and Internet Explorer. Aside from being annoyingly bright, this skin essentially breaks tooltips because it eliminates the tooltip background, and the text is then white against the white background of the site. After further experimentation, this is only an issue when using the Custom WoWWiki Monaco skin. Is the skin genuinely broken right now, or is it something on my end? -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 17:13, August 24, 2010 (UTC)

This occurs most often for me when I've logged in on another Wikia site (and I want to say occasionally just visited), and the CSS from whichever site I've logged into is cached. Try clearing your cache anytime after you've logged in elsewhere. --Sky (t · c) 17:28, August 24, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I tried clearing my cache, and it didn't work. The odd part is that if I uncheck the Custom WoWWiki Monaco skin box it works fine, and it gives me the SAME issue on both Firefox (which I use all the time) and IE (which I never use and shouldn't have any other cached wiki pages), and on both my home and work computers. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 17:46, August 24, 2010 (UTC)

I get around the whole issue by using the wowwiki skin when logged in. However, before I log in, I have seen essentially the same thing you have. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 23:55, August 24, 2010 (UTC)

Try:

1. Purge MediaWiki:Monaco.css
2. Purge MediaWiki:Common.css
3. ...and then clear your browser cache.

Was the DarkVector skin created by the Wowpedia staff specifically for this site? I've looked around for it and can't seem to locate it. I would love to use it on my Wiki site. However, I understand that it might not be public and is not possible, in which case I'll dust off my CSS skills and give it a shot myself. Giresse (talk) 20:23, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
