I'm wondering if there's a way to further emphasise in eg. {{Monk talents}} that the lv100 talents are A) not actually in the game yet, and B) not actually that likely to ever be released in their current forms. We're a very long way from anything becoming final (I remember how many iterations there were with the MoP beta), and as it stands the only distinction is the WoD icon on the left, which is similar to those found all over the site merely to indicate that you need to own that expansion to use that feature, or even just to show when the feature was added. I keep browsing down these lists for unfamiliar classes and taking these talents seriously, when they really shouldn't be taken seriously, not for a long time yet; we won't be seeing any lv100 talents in the game for another 6-9 months. There are also a lot of new players who probably won't catch the distinction.
Basically, this info is a speculative projection for the future, and shouldn't really be mixed in with all the current info on the class abilities pages. I'm not necessarily saying we should remove it entirely, but I think we should at least highlight it as speculative or distance it from the actual talents. The only simple idea I've come up with to keep it roughly together is to separate the two tables like this: User:Taohinton/Template:Monk talents. It's not perfect, but it is at least a lot clearer. -- Taohinton (talk) 15:48, 29 March 2014 (UTC)
- I had the same idea, but rather than a one-row table for the level 100 talents, use a list. Also, some boilerplate text to hopefully make it explicit that the talents aren't set in stone yet.
Below are the currently planned level 100 monk talents for Warlords of Draenor. Note that these talents are not final and are likely to change as development progresses.
- Something to that effect should hopefully be sufficiently obvious. --k_d3 18:06, 29 March 2014 (UTC)
So much for unified look, I was playing around with WoD versions of these tables and with few abilities name changing with some specs and many name changing with other specs the tables look horrible or confusing. We might have to go with a completely different way of handling the talent tables. (Sssss/Slithered) 04:13, 5 April 2014 (UTC)
