::::One issue is that most of the transcripts on the Animations do not bold the colon like 2009: Cataclysm Reveal. I'm inclined to do the same as text. 22:17, 12 January 2019 (UTC)

:::::True about Wikipedia, but we aren't 100% true with in-game transcription either, as the names there aren't bolded as we bold them in the template (although the bolded ones look nice, methinks). So, no hard opinion on this. Whatever is decided by others.

:::::Now that this has been brought up, however, is there a reason why the transcribed texts for Warcraft III quotes in mission pages are italicized? We tend to use italicized text only for "commentaries" in quotes sections. Mordecay (talk) 22:54, 12 January 2019 (UTC)

For transcripts, should the colon go before or after the character's name? There seems to be a lot of articles using both ways.

For example...

or
IconSmall ArthasDK Arthas:

On one hand it's not part of the character's name, on the other hand it's not part of the speech either and can be a little hard to see unbolded. I also just noticed that the colon is the same color as the character's name for speech that is spoken during a WC3 mission.

hmm. aesthetically i think both are fine, but i'm leaning toward the first example. WP usually follows U.S. style conventions and, if i remember right, the Chicago Manual of Style says that the punctuation after a bolded phrase shouldn't be bolded
edit: though, come to think of it, we do bold the colon in the text template... and in a case where it's a phrase like "[character] yells:" i feel like it'd look super weird not to bold the colon. so now i'm not entirely sure --Eithris (talk) 22:04, 12 January 2019 (UTC)
Both WoW and Wowpedia bold the colon in text, yeah. -- MyMindWontQuiet 22:15, 12 January 2019 (UTC)
I'd say let's use the same things text for consistency, yes Xporc (talk) 22:16, 12 January 2019 (UTC)
