For transcripts, should the colon go before or after the character's name? There seems to be a lot of articles using both ways.

On one hand it's not part of the character's name, on the other hand it's not part of the speech either and can be a little hard to see unbolded. I also just noticed that the colon is the same color as the character's name for speech that is spoken during a WC3 mission.

- hmm. aesthetically i think both are fine, but i'm leaning toward the first example. WP usually follows U.S. style conventions and, if i remember right, the Chicago Manual of Style says that the punctuation after a bolded phrase shouldn't be bolded
- edit: though, come to think of it, we do bold the colon in the {{text}} template... and in a case where it's a phrase like "[character] yells:" i feel like it'd look super weird not to bold the colon. so now i'm not entirely sure --Eithris (talk) 22:04, 12 January 2019 (UTC)
