Captain Frandis Farley is a Forsaken warrior, who in life lived in the human kingdom of Stormwind. It has been observed that when not speaking, Frandis's jaw drops into a permanent gaping expression. He was sent by Sylvanas Windrunner to command the undead troops in Garrosh Hellscream's attack on Theramore Isle.
Frandis and Fredrik were close as boys. According to Fredrik, his brother always liked to play with swords and "was good at it—ever so much better'n me."
As an adult he worked as a guard for Stormwind supply caravans, traveling across the Eastern Kingdoms. On his final trip, his caravan traveled to Lordaeron where he died to the plague. He later became a Forsaken.
Tides of War
He and Kelantir Bloodblade were critical of Garrosh's strategies and spoke against him multiple times, especially in the company of Baine Bloodhoof and Vol'jin. He is present during Baine and Vol'jin's initial gathering of the Horde commanders and concurs with their concerns regarding the looming Theramore assault. However Garrosh interrupts the meeting and after witnessing Kelantir being backhanded for questioning the Warchief, Frandis and everyone else is ordered to return to their encampments.
After the destruction of Theramore, Frandis, Kelantir, and some Horde members that are revolted at Garrosh's atrocities once more held a meeting with Baine and Vol'jin at Razor Hill. They were subsequently approached in Razor Hill's inn by Malkorok, who questioned them about speaking ill of their warchief. When they denied having done so, Malkorok left, and then blew up the inn with them inside.
A vision of Farley and Kelantir's deaths was conjured by the Vision of Time during Garrosh Hellscream's trial. Anduin Wrynn believed Sylvanas' reactions to the images shown spoke volumes of the regard she had for her subordinate.
Before the Storm
After the Argus Campaign, Anduin recalled Farley's name from the trial and later confirmed that Innkeeper Fredrik was his brother. He summoned Fredrik to Stormwind Keep, told him about Frandis' fate as a Forsaken, and that he was killed for opposing Garrosh's crimes. The king asked whether he would have liked to meet Frandis if he were alive, and Fredrik said yes.
