G-5 CANARYs are mechanical chickens that run around parts of the Loading Room and Train Depot in Dun Morogh during 
[50-70] Shadowed Halls and Dusty Cogs. They are apparently used by S.A.F.E. to search for any remaining signs of radiation, as they will periodically say:
- ALL CLEAR. NO IRRADIATION DETECTED.
During [50-70] Now With More Mechanical Fowl, one of the possible effects from firing the Prototype Bomber Gun is to launch a G-5 CANARY at the target. The chicken will run around for a few seconds and taunt any nearby enemies before casting an ability called Detonate, thereby exploding and killing all nearby enemies.
Trivia[]
- These chickens' name and function are a reference to how canary birds were historically used as a way of detecting gas leaks in coal mines.
