Galvan the Ancient is a dwarf quest giver located just south of the entrance to Zul'Gurub in Northern Stranglethorn. He used to spend some time in the mountains of Alterac examining truesilver, and in Booty Bay.
He is the leader of the blacksmithing group called the Mithril Order.[1] Over many years, he has gathered a vast amount of knowledge in the field of armorsmithing. When other members of the Order see a blacksmith with the skills and drive to become an armorsmith, they send the student to Galvan for more training. His latest student, Trenton Lighthammer, can be found at Sandsorrow Watch in Tanaris.
Although Galvan still remains at his tiny camp close to Zul'Gurub as of the Cataclysm, he no longer has any quests to give and serves no purpose.
