The World of Warcraft Game Guide was a section of the official site. It contained explanations of gameplay, features, strategy, and lore in World of Warcraft. The original version was written by Nebu, and later versions may have been as well. The Game Guide contained hundreds of pages, most of which were on generic game-play. The articles documented here are mostly the specifically unique and the lore-centric articles.

History

The Game Guide was originally located at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info. In March 2006, it was reorganized with new content, but old content was not rewritten.

In December 2010, it was rewritten for Cataclysm and moved to http://us.battle.net/wow/en/game/. In 2014, it was reorganized (but not completely rewritten) for Warlords of Draenor.

When the official site was revamped again in July 2016, much of the guide's content was cut, and links to the remaining pages were moved to a simple dropdown menu.

The Game Guide's previous contents can now only be viewed through the Wayback Machine (original version, 2010 to 2016 version) and in the articles below.
