Gar'Thok (also spelled as Gar'thok)[2] is an orc quest giver in Razor Hill in Durotar.
History[]
During the Battle of Mount Hyjal, Gar'Thok guarded the orc base.[3]
After Thrall named Durotar as the new homeland of the orcs and began construction of Orgrimmar, Gar'Thok as Nazgrel's lieutenant was stationed in an outpost. When the Mok'Nathal Rexxar arrived, Gar'Thok informed him of the quilboar problem they had. Rexxar quickly dealt with the problem but discovered that armed humans had gathered on the shores of Durotar. While Rexxar and his allies departed to inform Thrall of the approaching humans, Gar'Thok remained behind. He was unfortunate enough to be present when the outpost was attacked by sailors from Kul Tiras, who brutally slew his men.[4]
Having survived the attack, he stayed in Razor Hill to instruct young members of the Horde in dealing with Durotar's problems - including the remnants of the Kul Tiran forces and, after the Cataclysm, the Northwatch army.
When the Darkspear Rebellion retook Razor Hill, they found Gar'Thok in a cage, having been imprisoned by the Kor'kron because they did not like that he was still working with the Darkspear. After his release, he said that Hellscream tore the Horde apart.[5]
Gar'Thok was amongst the orcs who attended the first Kosh'harg festival on Azeroth, which was held at Razor Hill.
