History[]
Dying Draenor[]
As Draenor suffered hardship (longer winters, short springs and summers, a shortage of game to hunt) Garad and the Frostwolves would be approached by Gul'dan, who sought for them to join his Horde. By invoking the right of parlay Garad felt honor-bound to hear his case but would be unmoved and refuse to join the Horde ended the parlay. In accordance with parlay tradition, Gul'dan would give him a ceremonial dagger as a gift, but unknown to all the blade was poisoned. After Gul'dan departure Garad would feel weakness sweeping into him and despite this was insistence on leading his warriors into battle against the Redwalker clan, who had invaded Frostwolf territory. During the battle, Garad would perish but in final moments would realize that Gul'dan had poisoned him and would hold him responsible for his death.[2]
