Garrick was a wizard apprentice, and old friend of Adric. Abandoning his master's research, he came looking for Adric once he heard about a dead man with a crossbow that matched a description he knew of as a child. Hoping to save his childhood friend from the Plague, he tried to convince Adric to follow him to his cart where his master could find a way to cure him. When Garrick started down the hill he was shot in the back and started his journey to the other side.[1]
Whether these two are still friends living within the unnamed blighted forest is unknown.
