The city may have been built by the ancient night elves, similar to the ruins within Stonetalon Peak in Warcraft III, or in the Nightmare Scar of the Southern Barrens in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. This heritage is implied by the map's tileset, principally shared by the ancient night elf city of Suramar. Alternatively, it may have been constructed by the titans, and may be a vault similar to Terramok within Maraudon. The city may be underground, either wholly or partially, like many night elf and titan ruins, although it is shown in Warcraft III to be partially vegetated.
