Level range | 15-16 |
Zone | The Undercity |
A novice mage of the Horde investigates an outbreak of mana surges in the undercity's Alchemist shop.
Ghostbusting in the Undercity[]
- [15] Report to Anastasia
One of your trainers tells you of some magical disturbances within the Undercity. You are being dispatched to investigate. Your contact in the Undercity, Anastasia Hartwell (a mage trainer in the Undercity), will tell you more.
You arrive in the Undercity eager to find out what is going on. Anastasia instructs you to pick up a set of containment coffers, and a [Cantation of Manifestation], and use the coffers to capture some of the creatures.
As instructed, you lay out the containment coffers and read the scroll. A Rift Spawn becomes visible, and you stun it, then force it into one of the traps. You repeat this several times around the alchemy shop, clearing it of the current manifestations.
- [15] Gathering Materials
You return the materials, and the filled traps, to Anastasia, who declares that you are worthy to don your first mage's robes.
To that end, she sends you to collect a number of mana gems from the Dalaran mages in Silverpine Forest. While the mages subscribe to beliefs similar to your own, the "might makes right" philosophy portion of that says that if they aren't strong enough to resist, they don't deserve their lives.
Despite the distaste inherent in the task, you gather a number of the gems.
- [15] Spellfire Robes
You tender the gems, along with sufficient linen cloth, to Josef Gregorian, a tailor in Undercity's Magic Quarter familiar with the making of enchanted clothing. Josef is able to stitch together your robes in short order.
