Gor'groth is an ogre located at Darkmaul Citadel in Exile's Reach.
He is a necromancer who seeks to reanimate a dragon, Ravnyr, and uses the souls of shipwrecked Horde and Alliance troops to power the ritual. He is now prepared for the reanimation; he just needs one more soul...

Abilities[]
Shadow Bolt — Hurls a bolt of dark magic at an enemy, inflicting Shadow damage.- Unstable Shadows — Gor'groth creates up to 3 motes of Unstable Shadows that explode after 5 sec, inflicting 30 Shadow damage to all players within 8 yards of a mote.
Ravnyr[]
- Necrotic Breath — Inflicts 30 Shadow damage to all enemies in front of the caster.
- Wing Buffet — Unleashes a blast of necrotic energy, inflicting 0 Shadow damage to all players within 60 yards, knocking them away from the caster.
Strategy overview[]
Gor'groth's fight is split into two phases, one where you face Gor'groth and the other where you face Ravnyr. Gor'groth goes first, before sacrificing himself to raise Ravnyr. Once the dragon is downed, the encounter is over.
Phase One[]
Gor'groth begins by sending a few shadow bolts onto you. Stay close to Henry Garrick to get healed. At some point, Gor'groth will unleash Unstable Shadows, where the ground will be covered with circular purple shadows. Simply get out of the circle to avoid talking damage. DPS him down as quickly as possible.
Phase Two[]
At 40% health, Gor'groth sacrifices him in order to raise Ravnyr. His first ability is Necrotic Breath; simply avoid standing in the front cone of the caster. Wing Buffet is his other ability; to counter it, stand close to the boss and Henry so you don't get thrown a long-distance away. DPS him down as quickly as possible and you won.
