Its unknown who they are working for. Since the skeletons aren't attacking them, its believed that they are servants of Morbent Fel. Its also believed they are former companions of Dextren Ward who dug up corpses for Morbent. Another speculation is that they are Defias, since they sometimes drop Red Defias Masks, but they could also have robbed them on dead Defias.
