Grif Wildheart is a dwarf hunter trainer located in Kharanos in Dun Morogh. He teaches new dwarf hunters the important skill of beast taming.

History[]

Legion This section concerns content related to Legion.

During the Legion Invasions, Grif defended Kharanos.

Afterward, Grif and Brann Bronzebeard began working on locating artifacts on the Broken Isles against the Burning Legion, with legends pointing to a weapon called Titanstrike. Brann also introduced Grif to Prustaga. At some point, Grif met with Emmarel Shadewarden and visited the Magical Menagerie in Dalaran where he spoke with Tassia Whisperglen.[3]

Grif later joined the Unseen Path in the Trueshot Lodge and is seen speaking with Courier Larkspur. He helped a hunter adventurer retrieve Titanstrike. With his animal companions, the two hunters traveled from Dalaran to Shield's Rest in Stormheim on the Broken Isles where the dwarf reunited with Prustaga. As they explored the Tomb of the Old Kings, defeating ghosts and disabling traps, with the assistance of an Image of Mimiron they killed Warlord Volund and found Titanstrike. As they were about to retrieve it, Prustaga betrayed them and took a portal to Ulduar, materializing in the Spark of Imagination.[2] After retrieving the information, the hunters were transported to the Temple of Storms where they battled and killed Prustaga and reclaimed Titanstrike's blast. Both Mimiron and Thorim mistake him for Brann Bronzebeard, which greatly annoys him.[4]

Battle for Azeroth This section concerns content related to Battle for Azeroth.

During the Fourth War, Grif and his companions traveled to the Inventor's Library in the Storm Peaks and met with Mimiron once again in order to save Hati's spirit.[5] Grif and Theodore defended the Image of Mimiron from projections when they were trying to locate Hati's essence. They found it in the Temple of Storms.[6] Grif and Theodore arrived there only to find Thorim incapacitated and the Essence of Hati by corpses of enemy vrykul and proto-dragons. They fought against the essence and once defeated, absorbed into Thunderspark, which freed Thorim. Grif told the titan watcher the plan to restore Hati, and Thorim immediately teleported to Silithus: The Wound.[7] The dwarf followed suit and tried to reason with the Essence of Hati, but it instead latched onto Grif. Thorim suddenly appeared and used Krolmir's power against the essence, releasing the dwarf.[8] After absorbing this essence too, Grif returned to the Spark of Imagination in Ulduar[1] where he witnessed Hati's resurrection. Afterward, Grif resolved to return to the wilds.[9]
