Grol the Destroyer is a demon warlord located at the Dreadmaul Hold in the northwest of the Blasted Lands. Although once an ogre, Grol has in fact become a demon.

However, one day he was defeated, but lived on as a spirit, due to the tricky promise of immortality given to him by Razelikh.

Lore[]

He is one of three (along with Archmage Allistarj and Lady Sevine) who pledged allegiance to Razelikh, who in return granted them land, an endless life as long as they remain in the Blasted Lands and now must protect and serve him. He is the leader of the Dreadmaul ogres, a small tribe of ogres isolated in the Blasted Lands. When The Fallen Hero of the Horde and his team ventured into the Blasted Lands they got captured, now his comrades are forced to be endless servants of Archmage Allistarj, Lady Sevine, and Grol.

He later killed the demon hunter Loramus Thalipedes.[1][2]

Abilities[]

  • Spell holy fistofjustice Ground Smash — Inflicts Physical damage to nearby enemies, stunning them for 3 sec.
  • Inv gauntlets 05 Knock Away — Inflicts normal damage plus 30 to an enemy and knocks it back.

Combat info[]

He has a small stun knockback ability. He cannot be killed unless you follow The Fallen Hero of the Horde's questline and have gained an Enchanted Azsharite Felbane weapon, which you must proceed to use on him in order to kill him.

Objective of[]

Bugs[]

  • Grol had a long history of glitching up, putting him at a non-killable state (even with the Felbane).

Speculation[]

Questionmark-medium
This article or section includes speculation, observations or opinions possibly supported by lore or by Blizzard officials. It should not be taken as representing official lore.

Grol was a demon, yet his spirit apparently didn't go to the Twisting Nether.
