Durotan and Draka murdered

The orc next to Sharptooth's body would be the dead guard.

Grukar is an orc who found Thrall in Hillsbrad Foothills in an alternate universe. Thrall introduced himself as a warlock named Thra'kash who was sent to assist him with a secret mission. Grukar took him to a camp where Orgrim Doomhammer met with Durotan and Draka who told him about Gul'dan's betrayal. Orgrim sent them to a secret location and Grukar with Thra'kash were to accompany them. In fact, Grukar was the one who summoned three assassins that killed Durotan, Draka, their wolf companion, Sharptooth and in turn Grukar.[1]

Notes[]

  • In the main timeline, an unnamed guard was originally described to have summoned the assassins,[2] thus the event occurred the same except the presence of Thrall.
  • While the Twilight of the Aspects version was very close to that of Lord of the Clan's, World of Warcraft: Chronicle Volume 2 later changed several details, including the place and route of the escort and number of guards accompanying the Frostwolves. While older sources stated that one guard accompanied the Frostwolves and summoned the assassins, now several guards accompanied the Frostwolves and attacked them. Durotan was originally stated to have managed to kill one assassin by snapping his neck while the others killed the traitorous guard and ultimately the Frostwolves as well. Now, the Frostwolves managed to kill one guard, before falling to the rest of the attackers. As such, the one deceased guard would likely be Grukar.
  • It could be speculated that Grukar in Twilight of the Aspects was still killed as described in the book as it is a different universe.
