Gryphon Master Talonaxe is a dwarf quest giver located at Aerie Peak in the Hinterlands. His father worked with the Explorers' League excavation that discovered Uldaman. Since Falstad Wildhammer left for Ironforge, Talonaxe took over the coordination and defense of Aerie Peak. Talonaxe sent Gilda Cloudcaller to Quel'Danil Lodge to deal with Shadra. After the spider god was summoned, he led a group of dwarves to fight her.

During the Fourth War, he was stationed at the gryphon roost in Tarren Mill in Hillsbrad Foothills. When Horde champions were sent to infiltrate the roost and kill the Wildhammer clan gryphons, they encountered Talonaxe.
