The Guardian of the Deep is an elite crab boss found in the Forgotten Pool in Blackfathom Deeps.

After it chased out Old Serra'kis in order to gain a new lair to spawn its brood, Horde adventurers laid the beast low before the problem could multiply. After the Fourth War, Rexxar and Zekhan entered its lair and confirmed that Ashenvale remains free of the Guardian.

Adventure Guide

Underneath the cursed Moonshrine Ruins, ancient creatures battle for territory. Old Serra'kis was driven from the ruins by The Guardian of the Deep who was seeking new spawning grounds. Now, the Guardian watches over thousands of eggs until they can hatch, and spread throughout the waterways of Azeroth.

Abilities

•  Spore Cloud — Fires egg sacs at random enemy destinations that inflict 125 Physical damage on impact and births a brood of Guardian Hatchlings.
•  Devour  — The Guardian of the Deep devours a Blue Shale Crawler, healing himself for 25%.
•  Shattering Song — The Guardian of the Deep emits a piercing screech, inflicting 225 damage to all enemies.
