The Guardian of the Spring is a unicorn who wanders around the Placid Spring in Tiragarde Sound. Interacting with the unicorn causes the player to mount him, granting the following buff for 40 seconds:
Guardian of the Spring — Riding the Guardian of the Spring.
The player then has until the buff expires to ride the unicorn to Roan Berthold near Southwind Station.[67.4, 51.6] If done successfully, Roan will say the following and spawn a Hay Covered Chest for the player to loot while the Guardian despawns:
- Roan Berthold says: He's beautiful!
- Roan Berthold says: I started questioning the existence of such a creature!
- Roan Berthold says: Take this, as a way of thanks.
After completing the event, the Guardian can be found back at the Placid Spring again, but will no longer be mountable.
Notes[]
- The Guardian can run across water and is immune to fall damage.
- If the player does not reach Roan in time or cancels the buff early, the Guardian will eject them and despawn. He will respawn at the Placid Spring and allow the player to try again as soon as they re-enter the subzone.
- The Guardian is marked with a vignette symbol on the minimap but is not required for
[Adventurer of Tiragarde Sound]. However, the Hay Covered Chest is required for 
[Treasures of Tiragarde Sound].
