Halahk the Lifebringer was a human paladin who led the Circle of Holy Light, part of the resistance forces against Arthas Menethil in the ruins of Lordaeron. He was eventually killed by Arthas along with his companions, Magroth the Defender and Dagren the Orcslayer.[1]
The soul of Halahk was tortured within Frostmourne till he cursed the Light and forsook it. After Frostmourne was shattered, Halahk's spirit was freed, but his soul now wanders Icecrown Citadel as Halahk the Deathbringer. Frost death knights seeking to reforge the shards of Frostmourne into two new swords are forced to destroy Halahk's spirit before they are able to claim the shard that he is guarding.[2]
A missing fragment of Halahk's soul, crystallized as "The Holy Lifebringer", came into the Jailer's possession after Frostmourne's shattering.[3]
