- The Hall of Ichor derives its name from the Greek ichor, which is the blood of the gods and immortals that is deadly to humans, later used in medicine to refer to the liquid that oozes from wounds and ulcers that smells putrefied, due to Clement of Alexandria using the term for putrefied blood.
