Hammertoe Grez was a dwarf quest giver located in the outermost part of Uldaman. He was seeking magic for golems as well as the origin of dwarves. He made Hammertoe's Digsite and wrote a message on Crumpled Map when he was being taken by the Shadowforge clan. He had been working with Historian Karnik to discover artifacts of Uldaman.
Upon his death, Karnik sought Hammertoe's spirit in order to gain information on the Shadowforge dark dwarves.[2] Hammertoe dreamt about finding the 
[Tablet of Will] and Advisor Belgrum resolved to continue in the search.[3]
Since the Cataclysm, he can no longer be found anywhere, presumably because the Explorers' League have claimed his body from the dig site, or it may have decayed.
