Generally a term for MMOG players who play alot (30+ hours a week), prefer PvP, and don't like rulesets that make the game easier and more fun. Often used in contrast to the term casual.
They usually are the kind of people who you want fighting on your side in a fist-fight, but probably not for a nice dinner party to engage in witty banter. :-P
