A haunted gold mine must be summoned on top of a gold mine before you can begin mining gold with your Acolytes. It does not require Blight to be summoned.

• Patch 1.10 (2003-07-03): Undead Acolytes and Night Elf Wisps that are rallied to an incomplete Entangled or Haunted Gold Mine will now automatically begin to mine once the structure is completed.
  
• Patch 1.01 (2002-07-05): Hit points increased to 950 from 800.
