Hipokos is a steward from the Temple of Courage who was taken captive by the House of Constructs and brought to their stronghold in Maldraxxus—where he was rendered mute by having his tongue torn out—before being freed by Maw Walkers. He is currently the apprentice of Mikanikos.

Biography

Alongside many kyrian and other stewards, Hipokos was captured during the House of Constructs and House of Rituals' attack on the Temple of Courage in Bastion and taken to the Construct stronghold in Maldraxxus. He was locked in a cage in the Hall of Chains and had his tongue removed, rendering him mute. Some time thereafter, a Maw Walker arrived and helped the blinded Aspirant Thales rescue Hipokos and the other surviving captives, who subsequently relocated to the stronghold's central ripening pond along with Secutor Mevix. Thales sent Hipokos and his fellow stewards Kou and Koa to retrieve kyrian bodies from around the pit, but Hipokos stayed behind to repair a Destroyed Praetor he found. He turned the construct into a Salvaged Praetor, which the group then used to break into the Flesh Stitchery where they took control of the Soulfused Construct and escaped to Spider's Watch.

Hipokos helped defend the Seat of the Primus when it was attacked by Baron Vyraz's forces. After the battle, he relocated inside the Seat with Aspirant Thales and seemingly handed over his Salvaged Praetor to Bonesmith Heirmir.

Hipokos and the other former Construct captives returned to the Seat of the Primus after the battle of Desmotaeron to witness Draka's promotion ceremony. During the event, Hipokos could be seen tinkering with a crate of potions. He and the others subsequently returned home to Bastion and were present in Elysian Hold for the Archon's announcement of the new Temple of Devotion. During Adrestes' promotion ceremony at the Seat of the Archon, the Forgelite Prime Mikanikos revealed that he had taken on Hipokos as his new apprentice and that he believed the other steward's experience in Maldraxxus and passion for the craft would allow him to do great things (with the forgelite's help). Mikanikos added that the two of them worked well together since he was a "great talker" and Hipokos was a "great listener". During the same event, Thales told the Maw Walker that he and Hipokos had bonded and that the steward would likely continue to serve as the blind aspirant's eyes, just as Thales would serve as Hipokos' voice.

• Since he is mute, Hipokos normally stays silent when clicked on. However, he uses normal steward click quotes while accompanying players in  [53-60] A Burden Worth Bearing. This is presumably an oversight.
