Hurkan Skullsplinter was the Chieftain of the Bonechewer clan before the invasion of Draenor. He was a massive warrior, as large as Orgrim Doomhammer, and prone to madness and bloodlust, but was a cunning and wily warrior when he was actually thinking. At one point, he gained possession of the Skull of Gul'dan, which he took from one of his warriors whom he killed, who in turn had taken it from one of Gul'dan's warlocks, who the warrior killed for the skull, though there may have been others inbetween. Hurkan himself was killed for the skull by Grommash Hellscream, who had been sent to retrieve it by Ner'zhul. Immediately after Hurkan's death, Grom asked for his replacement so he could demand a renewed pledge of loyalty to the Horde. Grom's call was answered by Tagar Spinebreaker.[1]
Trivia[]
- In Warcraft II: Beyond the Dark Portal, he was described as a nameless "pathetic Orc Captain" of the clan.[2]
