Ian Strom is a level 47 rogue trainer located inside the Salty Sailor Tavern in Booty Bay. To find him you must enter the tavern and make a left and ascend the stairs, then make another left turn to cross the rope gangway. As you enter the hull of the boat that is ahead of you, he will be in the room to your left.
Cataclysm[]
During the battle for Booty Bay Ian can be found dead in his room, but at the end of the battle he's still alive. If you are At War with Booty Bay you can attack him while he is "dead", revealing that he was actually feigning death to avoid being attacked by the pirates.
