Ichor was a ghoul who possessed a powerful artifact known as the Orb of Ner'zhul. With it, he had the power to raise powerful beasts such as frost wyrms and send them into battle. The Orb was taken from him by Baron Valimar Mordis, a Forsaken noble who resided in the Alterac Mountains; the Baron intended to use it to raise frost wyrms and other undead behemoths in order to destroy both the Scourge and the living as well.
Ichor raced against Kalecgos — trapped in humanoid form by Dar'Khan Drathir's enchanted collar — to reach the Baron's castle and retake the Orb. However, when Trag Highmountain destroyed the Orb, the frost wyrm the Baron had summoned lost cohesion and collided with the castle. The collapsing stone crashed into the ghoul, causing him to fall from the cliff;[1] whether he "survived" or was crushed by the rubble is unclear.
