Icy Prisms contain 2-3 rare Northrend gems and also may contain a  [Dragon's Eye] (about 10% chance) or an epic Gem (about 8% chance).

Patch changes

• Patch 3.3.3 (2010-03-23): Undocumented change.

  The number of each gem necessary has been reduced from 3 to 1.
  

• Patch 3.2.0 (2009-08-04): Now has a chance of yielding an epic gem.
  
• Hotfix (2009-02-18): Icy Prisms are now unique, they cannot be mailed but can still be traded.
