Il'gynoth in Ny'alotha.

Il'gynoth, Corruption Reborn is a boss located in Ny'alotha, the Waking City.

Adventure Journal

Following its defeat in the Emerald Nightmare, Il'gynoth retreated into the depths of Ny'alotha to regain its strength. Now it has fused with the city's architecture and spreads across the Black Empire like a creeping infestation. As Il'gynoth's corrupting flesh grows ever larger, so does its power.

The encounter begins with players facing off against Il'gynoth's reformed body in the center of the arena. Reducing Il'gynoth's health to 0 will cause him to retreat, opening chambers to his three Organs of Corruption while he reforms. Each Organ of Corruption spawns Bloods of Ny'alotha, but players can slow the blood flow with interrupt abilities. Defeating an Organ of Corruption will cause Il'gynoth to return with restored health. This cycle repeats until all three Organs of Corruption and Il'gynoth have all been defeated.

Tank Alert Tanks

Damage Dealer Alert Damage Dealers

  • Interrupt Organs of Corruption casting [Pumping Blood].
  • Defeat Bloods of Ny'alotha when your raid has enough health to survive [Hemorrhage].
  • Reduce allies to <30% health when they are afflicted with [Touch of the Corruptor].

Healer Alert Healers

  • Flee from allies to when they are afflicted with [Touch of the Corruptor].
  • The raid will suffer heavy damage when targeted with [Cursed Blood].
  • Your tank will need assistance when afflicted with too many stacks of [Eye of N'Zoth].

Entering Maw of Gor'ma
Ill'gynoth whispers: All you witness is my flesh.
  • Before the last shadow falls, the father of sleep shall savor his feast.
  • The golden one claims a vacant throne. The crown of light will bring only darkness.
  • When their mistress beckons, nine ravens take flight. Each seeks a prize to earn her favor.
  • The vassal of life disguises treachery. Beware the eyes of green.
  • Five lanterns now darkened. The flames they seek will light the Masters' way.
  • The blind queen wields a scepter of bone. From the deep, she calls forth doom.
  • The cunning ones kneel before six masters, but serve only one.
You will never be rid of me.
The feeding begins!
Eye of N'Zoth
  • His gaze falls upon you!
  • N'zoth sees all!
Corruptor's Gaze
I see the corruption within.
Organs of Corruption
Flesh peels away to expose rot!
Organ slain
You dare scar perfection!
Killing a player
Failure is your constant.
Your light fades. Your tether weakens.
Those who pass beyond... will drown... within the dark...

PTR adventure journal

After defeat in the Emerald Nightmare, Il'gynoth retreated to the depths of Ny'alotha. Here, he has merged with the very architecture of N'Zoth's plane. Spreading like a malignant tumor, Il'gynoth's corruption continues to feed on everything he touches.

Il'gynoth appears as a legendary demon hunter card in the Madness at the Darkmoon Faire expansion for Hearthstone. Its effect converts all Lifesteal into damage to the opponent's hero, and its flavor text reads: "Well, that just sounds like damage with extra steps."
