The Illusionary Rod is a great staff for casters. It's a good replacement for the 
[Emberstone Staff] or 
[Staff of Westfall] that Alliance casters might be carrying around since the Deadmines, or the popular 
[Crescent Staff] for the Horde. It is often replaced by [Zum'rah's Vexing Cane] from Zul'Farrak.
