Improved Frost Ward was a mage talent that caused [Frost Ward] to restore mana to the mage, equal to 50% of the damage it absorbed.
The talent was replaced by [Frost Warding] with the mage talent review in patch 1.11.0.
Trivia[]
- Initially the replacement talent
[Frost Warding] did not replicate the mana restoration effect granted by this talent.
- With patch 3.0.2, Frost Warding was redesigned with a mana restoration effect similar to Improved Frost Warding, giving both
[Frost Ward] and
[Fire Ward] a chance to negate the damage of the absorbed spell and return mana equal to the damage caused.
Patch changes[]
