Inquisitor (occupation)

Inquisitors are agents in the inquisitions; organizations intended to eliminate heresy and anything opposed to a set of doctrine or teachings, such as heretics, traitors, and enemies of the cause they serve. They are mostly affiliated with armies, orders, or religious cults.

Since their missions consist of hunting down the heretics, they are trained individuals using a variety of weapons, with extensive knowledge of their enemies, and most use different types of magic to perform their duty. They are also requisitioned to take care of interrogations and collect information, and mostly use torture to obtain what they want.

Trivia

• The Judgement Armor is meant to be an Inquisitor-like outfit for the paladins of the Order of the Silver Hand.
  • They are also known for their experience in meting out justice, which can sometimes turn into an inquisition.
• In the early Cataclysm alpha, Warden Blackwell of Gilneas was referred to as an inquisitor. There were also Acolyte Inquisitors.
