History

This quest was a bit of a pain at the time for a lone melee class player, because all of the Invading Felguards came out of the Dark Portal - a rather small door. Classes with Area of Effect spells would target the portal, tagging all of the invading forces for themselves or their party before a melee character could even get a hit in. Many melee players had to join groups to complete the quest. This quest, like many things in The Burning Crusade Expansion that this quest preceded, was a learning experience for Blizzard Entertainment, and lead to considerations for future quests where there was the potential for many players to do at the same time.
