Iron Horde Invasion! began the pre-Warlords expansion quest chain in the Blasted Lands, the first half of the Warlords of Draenor intro experience. Players logging in after Patch 6.0.2 had gone live saw a "What's New?" window front and center that began this quest. Should players close the window, Hero's Call Boards in all capital cities would also offer the quest.

To start the questline, simply abandon  [10-40] Warlords of Draenor: The Dark Portal and take the portal to Vindicator Maraad in the Blasted Lands.

Objectives

Speak with Vindicator Maraad at the Shattered Beachhead in Blasted Lands.

Description

By order of his royal highness, King Varian Wrynn, all able-bodied citizens of the Alliance are to report to Vindicator Maraad at the Shattered Beachhead in Blasted Lands.

Use the portal in Stormwind next to the Hero's Call Board to head directly to the front line.

This new threat is known only as the Iron Horde. They have taken over the Dark Portal and must be stopped.

For the glory and honor of the Alliance!

Notes

Take the port in the lower level of the Wizard's Sanctum in the Mage Quarter of Stormwind to make it to the Shattershore on the west coast of Blasted Lands. The Iron Horde have invaded and sacked the zone, as both Nethergarde Keep and Okril'lon Hold have fallen. Both factions' fleets landed on the Shattershore on the east side of the zone.
